First Dash 8 from Air Iceland lands in Kulusuk

The 2nd of June at 10:33 a.m. Local time the very first Dash 8 Q-400 aircraft from Air Iceland landed in Kulusuk Airport. The flight from Iceland to Kulusuk was successful and without any complications. The 52 passengers on board the maiden trip could sit back and enjoy the flight.

Introducing a new type of aircraft in an airport the employees need instructions on the new procedures. For this purpose Air Iceland brought a mechanic on the flight to help with the introduction in Kulusuk.

“We are happy that Air Iceland is now also flying to Kulusuk and want to wish them congratulations on the first of hopefully many flights to our airport,” says airport manager Torben Larsen.

In honor of the occasion the flight crew was invited for coffee and cake in Kulusuk Airport.
